The Flag of Ottawa from 1902 to 1987, known as the "Canada 150" flag, was the official city flag during this period in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. This banner represented a unique design with three vertical stripesred, white, and redeach of which had different symbolic meanings.The red stripes on both edges signified the military prowess of Ottawa's early settlers, who were primarily French and British soldiers.
